A quick pre-booking self-check
Work through each item. Flag anything you're unsure about — we'll cover it in your consultation. This takes about 3 minutes.
Installation
How are you installing the seat?
The car seat does not move more than 2.5cm side-to-side or forward at the belt path.
The seatbelt or ISOFIX strap follows the correct coloured/blue guide path with no twists.
Both ISOFIX connectors click firmly into the vehicle anchors (ISOFIX installations only).
The top tether is attached and tightened with no slack (always required).
Harness
The harness lies flat, is not twisted, and sits at or below shoulder level (rear-facing).
You cannot pinch any slack in the harness at the child's collarbone when buckled.
The chest clip sits at armpit level.
Child fit
Your child is rear-facing and within the seat's height/weight limits.
The headrest is adjusted so the harness sits correctly relative to the shoulders.
Your child is not wearing bulky coats or blankets under the harness.
Condition
The seat is within its expiry date (check the sticker).
The seat has never been in a crash.
